We're a small team working on a category that has been underserved for a long time. If you want to work on hard problems, with regulated organisations, alongside people who care about the integrity of what they build — we'd like to talk.
The work is real, even at an early stage. We're building production-grade infrastructure for genomic research, livestock biosecurity and agritech — backed by Innovate UK and VLAIO funding, with an active ancient-DNA provenance pilot and HerdWare, our livestock biosecurity application, close to launch. We founded the Applied Livestock consortium ourselves rather than joining an existing one. This isn't a side project sitting in a drawer — it's infrastructure meant to run in regulated environments, where the consequences of getting it wrong are real.
That has implications for how we work. We move carefully on the things that matter — security, integrity, compliance. We move quickly on everything else. We expect people to take ownership of what they're responsible for, to be honest when something isn't working, and to bring strong opinions while staying open to being wrong.
We're not for everyone. If you want a five-thousand-person org with clear ladders and a defined role description, we're not it yet. If you want to work on infrastructure that matters to people doing serious work, before it's proven out, we probably are.
We're looking for a senior regulatory and validation specialist to join our advisory board. The right person has spent a career in regulated environments and wants meaningful equity in a category they understand deeply.
Whether it's the advisory seat or a future role — we'd rather hear from you sooner than later.
